Lost Treasures

 Lost Treasures

Julie Valentine

What a pity, what a shame,

she left it on the bus,

Someone took it from the bag,

her camera’s caused the fuss.

Friday was last day of school,

she’ll never go again,

All her friends acted the fool,

but all she feels is pain.

Her camera wasn’t very dear,

I’m sure we can replace

But memories fade, become unclear

she won’t recall a face.

I’ve sent a letter to the press

to make a humble plea

That someone with a conscience

will return the film to me.
